Milky Cradle Cap

Crosta Láctea

The Qihai routine for Milk Crust has proven to be an excellent ally for many families.

It's natural and simple.

Cradle cap - also known as seborrheic dermatitis - is a very common skin condition in babies and is characterized by the presence of scaly or oily, yellowish crusts on the baby's scalp. It mainly affects the head but can also appear in areas such as the eyebrows and ears.

When the skin peels, it tends to become irritated and red, and your baby's hair may fall out along with the scabs, growing back later. Cradle cap is not contagious and disappears naturally within the first six months.

However, to alleviate this and keep your baby's head looking cleaner and healthier, you can use the following steps:

- First, you should make a paste with Colloidal Oatmeal and apply it to your baby's head during bath time. Using a softened Konjac sponge (preferably Lavender), massage gently, without pressure, in circular movements, helping to remove the crusts. Leave it to soften for a few moments and then rinse with water.

If the Milk Cradle Cap is already very accumulated, you can add a little Bamboo Scrub to the Colloidal Oatmeal paste -
ideal for these cases due to its granulometry.

- Then, when you take the baby out of the bath, you should apply Chamomile and Lavender Hydrolate and let it act.

- Finally, moisturize your baby's head with a thin layer of Aloe Vera, Rosehip or Calendula Vegetable Oil .

In phases where the head is red, apply twice a week, or just once a week for maintenance.

Tip: Your baby's skin is perfect and doesn't need many products. To wash, nourish and moisturize, simply add a dessert spoon of colloidal oatmeal to your baby's bath along with a dessert spoon of vegetable oil.
